Personally I can't help but think #7 would've been better taken if you'd scooted over a hundred yards to your right - wouldn't that have made the wording and pillars more centralized and together? Maybe my spatial sense of perspective is wrong...but I think I'm right :Þ

No. I don't think that all photos should have their subject matter dead center. If I did that, then it would have been, it balances out with the railroad tracks coming in from the bottom right corner leading your eye to under the bridge.

Composition is different for everyone.

The biggest reason I shot it like this is that it makes it look like a model railroad rather than a train that was really there moving at a decent speed.

The perspective gives you more as if someone was wandering down by the tracks and not walking on them waiting to get mowed down.

the pillars are not really of anything worth emphasising.
