That's a nice site. Didn't see how to sort by brand, but was probably not looking hard enough.
The other brand of tactical boots I've looked at is Altima, but they never seemed to fit right. I'll stick with my Magnums. They even make a side zip now for ease of removal.
Bizzy got a pair for xmas, and I'd like to set her up with the zipper conversion, which basically takes the place of laces.
And with some work they take a nice polish. I wear mine for everday use.

I got your tour winner right here pussies, at least he'd crash out trying.

I've been wanted to get Tabi boots for a long time... does anyone know a good reliable place online to buy them? And what size I should get... I'm about a 9.5-10 mens... I can't seem to find a place in town that sells them either. The one thing that you can do if you want to make your foot falls very quite (which I did for while... got a little annoying though) is to use that mesh stuff that people put unger their rugs so they don't slide all over the place. Cut it into strips and tie it around your shoe... really impracticle but nice if your in a pinch.

Pity the poor agnostic dyslexic insomniac; he stays up all night, wondering if there really is a dog.

I'm a combat boots person myself. I really like the new USMC combat boots, http://www.natick.army.mil/soldier/media/fact/individual/USMC_MCCB-HW.htm

I've got many, many miles on these boots, in all sorts of terrain. Everything from caves, drains, mountains, desert, snow, mud, ice, tar(roads), construction sites, demolition, and general arse kicking. I've done 8 mile runs, and 40 mile humps, with out a single blister. (Can't say that about the old issue boots) Probably the most comfortable, virsatile boot i've ever had. Plus, they don't show up in night vision as easy as black(polishable style) boots. Almost a must for good UE.

I own a million different pairs of converse and that's what I wear on a daily basis so I usually use them for UE. I find my trusty black hi-tops to be broken in enough to be flexible for climbing, they make it easy to feel the terrain, they offer enough support to run in, they're light, comfortable, and they're just a normal pair of shoes so they blend in. Also, they're cheap and I'm poor.

I don't like quiche.
