Types of rope listed in the dictionary

Hey, I am new here and really like some of the features of this site. One thing I noticed going through the dictionary was a little missleading. You should never use a dynamic rope to rappell or Absail (this is where I found it) You get far more controll with a static line. Dynamic is made to stretch like a bungee cord when you fall creating less shock on both your gear and your body. However this makes decending a little rough and bouncy. Static is definately whats recomended by all the pros and teachers (I am one) Thanks and I shall enjoy the site well.
