Your legal arguments stand no ground, since there is no agreement as to what I can do with the photos once uploaded to me, in theory I can modify them to my hearts content and you could say nothing, since there's no statement indicating otherwise. We don't do this, however.

Uh, Av... I dunno what version of copyright you're reading, but UER has ZERO right to modify ANYONE'S copyrighted images, without express written consent.
Your ONLY legal avenue was to delete the pictures. That is not a violation. Modifying them and then putting them back is as clear of a case of copyright violation as you can get.
I would apologize to Turbo for this, if I were you. Regardless of whether or not he was consciously breaking the rules or not, that gives UER no right to break copyright laws. Your only avenues of reaction are to remove the pictures.
I would also create a new rule stating that moderators have the authority to remove any "questionable" or "objectionable" content without warning or advance notice.
If Turbo was a real dick, he could nail UER to the wall for this... or at least get your host to take you offline for a few days.
But he's not. And the board owes him an apology.

This isn't a parking lot, and those are not a car. Those are !COPIES! (you still have a no cencored version and if you son't silly you) of an image that you are putting on some one elses site. Totally diffrent situation. Again some one is hosting this site and doing you a service and after one little thing, where the minimal was done people are bitching. In tyrpical UER fashion. Pre-school is back in session. He played with your toy, after you shared it and now you are pissed. That sounds like a better anaolgy to me. Not taking a car and causing thousands of dollars of perminate damage. And I wasn't even talking to you Chris I understood why you were mad to begin with, and then I read Av's simple reply to that- "if the mod's PM'ed people every time they made a change it would take 20 times longer to do". I don't see anything wrong with that considering when joining UER, and submiting images you are agreeing to follow the rules. The rules are not gonna get changed cause people don't understand them, Av is following the rules of the server which hosts his site.

What rules ? Can you please post the section specific to this matter Andrea ? You know the bit that excludes UER from complying with international photographic law and allows Av or anyone else Carte Blanche to rape my or anyone elses photos* ?
