Is there a way to replace a picture in the DB without deleting the old one and losing all the comments?

you can add a picture to an existing gallery, if that's what you mean.

or do you mean changing the photo but keeping the comments the same? I don't know if that's possible.

From now on and until the end of time, "Hip To Be Square" will conjure images of bloody bodies being hacked apart with axes.

Seems like an odd request really. All the comments would be out of context if you changed the picture they refer to. Even if it's a picture of the same thing.

Just add a picture onto the gallery.

I don't want to change the picture completely, just replace it with a better one of the same thing. All the comments would still be in context.

Don't call it a comeback, I've been here for years.

It's "LOSING". "LOOSING", if it was a word, would mean to loosen something off, which is the opposite of tightening something.

Yes you're right, it was a typo. I tried to correct it but it's too late. Looks like we have 24 hours to edit a post.

You could copy all the text from the comments and paste them in to a single comment for the new or replaced pic. As for saving them in the original format, I don't think it's possible.

I've been feeling funny since I went in that open crypt. Not sure what it is.

Can't do this right now.

I suggest you simply add a new photo and delete the old one, thereby losing the comments. Most of the time it's nothing of value.
