| | | Intermittent/Odd "Member Search" Problem < on 10/3/2004 1:06 AM >
| | | I have had an odd problem with the "Member Search" function -- recently it sometimes cannot locate certain people that I know to be members. I discovered it when searching for BizzyBear. No amount of searching can turn her up, either on "exact match" or "partial match." And, more revealingly, the same goes for Avatar-X -- nowhere to be found (but other mods come up just fine). My name shows up and (oddly) nightbird's is there, even though I had the same problem with her name when I was looking to PM her yesterday. There seems to be no pattern to who appears and who doesn't, although it seems to affect only a small (5%>) percentage of the names I've tried. What's going on?! Is this just my own quirk, or does it affect everyone? -- Mat

| | | I can confirm that problem. I've had member searches turn up no results too recently. And this morning the member list on my home page showed only me as being logged in, while there were several users chatting. Pretty strange.
It's great to be alive! |
