|  | | | My apologies if this has already been brought up. I just got to thinking the other day when I was uploading up some pictures, I haven't created alot of locations. I have, however, explored alot of them, and uploaded many of my photos to gallerys. There is already a location DB star, so why not make something like an "added gallery's" star? Just a thought, thats all.

But there is a reward for hitting a few buttons and entering a few required fields, and then someone else who may have visited separately and even earlier actually adding all the information and photos? There's reasons against adding this star but I don't think that's a particularly good one.
In any case, this is bound to just go downhill from here, so I guess basically: if it really bothers you enough that you've added galleries and information without credit, then stop doing it. But for most folks it's just not that big of a deal.

Especially considering the fact that within mere hours of the "Location DB Rater" star being implemented, it started appearing in people's profiles. It took me months of casual rating to get up to 50 locations, but people will do all kinds of crap just to get stars.
Hence I reiterate: Goddammit, no more stars!

I was honestly surprised that a separate star was created for NEOPEx. If all of the new meets have stars designed for them, then pretty soon some people's profiles are going to be a million miles long. (Those stars can be helpful, though, since if you know someone who went to, say, OPEx, and you wanted to find out if another person who also went there was a good person to explore with or not, you would know who to ask.) (And, to be sure, that's a somewhat limited good... but it's more useful than, say, the wolf star, which only serves to make people say, "what the hell is it FOR?!")

I rated 50 locations before the star existed and therefore i was the first to recieve it  I like the gallery star but if it doesn't happen then im fine with it.
