Possibility of exploring an amusement park

So I live in the Myrtle Beach area and we have had a lot of theme parks shut down around here. Most have been destroyed, but one has stayed up. Hardrock/Freestyle Music park is a pretty big place, and would be amazing to explore. I feel that breaking into it, climbing over the fence, etc. is too risky due to it being right off a major highway, next to a church, and flashlights and other things would be obvious. I also don't even want to think about the charges I could be pressed with for being in there. I wouldn't really have any excuse other than photography.
Has anyone explored an amusement park?
Did you contact the owners in order to get permission or did you just jump?
Has anyone visited this park, and do you feel it would be worth exploring?

It's much easier to ask for forgiveness if you get caught, than to ask for permission.

Well that's what urban explorers do, get in and get out undetected. I've been to over ten abandoned amusement parks. The park can't be entirely surrounded by high-traffic highway, can it? Find a quiet corner, wait for nobody to be there, and jump it. Avoid getting too close to the road and church, and stay away from any buildings that could have motion sensors, and I can't imagine many problems cropping up.

Watch out for security, when my friend he saw them all over the place there. He was only able to see a small part of it.

Time to go to church and have a pet cat that got loose. Here kitty, kitty, kitty. I think he went this way, onto the old coaster.

Heavily patrolled by security, but def worth seeing if you like the risk!

I think I saw him over there...I'll take a picture so I can be sure.

Oh good, my slow clap processor made it into this thing.

Exploring isn't all about pictures.

Exploring Amusement Parks is actually ridiculously fun,
The easiest are ones that have been shut down for a while, and have no security, or maybe one rent-a-cop sleeping in his car in the parking lot.

Active amusement parks however are much more fun, with many many more things to see, however the security can range from minimal, to pretty extreme depending on the location. As always, try to go at night, with dark blue clothes that you don't mind getting dirty, don't use a flashlight, let your eyes adjust, and just go with the flow.

However if you're exploring somewhere active, don't mess with the coasters, even though the likelihood of you messing something up pretty badly are minimal, you can never be too careful, make sure you dont bend that lever, force that lock, press that button, etc...

TL;DR

Have fun, and don't be an idiot, just go out and explore.

Skys the limit! :)
