| | | I like the part where you say that you were: "exploring this place and tearing it apart. Breaking into the sealed up locations." "I used to bring ropes in there and crowbars in there and break doors open and just go nuts in there"
Nice way of openly admitting vandalism and B&E on a radio show. Then later you say, "we don't take anything, we don't break anything, we're there just to take photographs and leave footprints".
Hmm...
Give a person a match and they'll be warm for a minute, but light them on fire and they'll be warm for the rest of their life. =) |

*facepalms* There's a comic strip that goes along with that.

Hi Therrin, The locations and times I am talking about was back in 1994 and they are long gone now. When I refer to going nuts, I mean exploring, not smashing shit. So there is no worries there brosir. Also I refer that "NEW" explorers should not brake into places and snicker a bit. It's just advice. Guess it's over your head dude.

What is up your ass bro? Do you bring anything with you when you go exploring? Do you ever bring less or more? Or sometimes nothing at all? Oh I forgot it's Therrin, you float in propelled by your farts, turn invisible with your magic hobit ring and take photographs with your secret eye camera ;)

| | | I don't act like im on some quasi-military venture as a secret agent and call my explores "missions".
Also, so you're saying that you "used to" break into places with crowbars (as you stated clearly, vocally, in your web radio interview) but that you don't suggest that people do that? Well that's good.

This is a popularity contest lol. Great mentality to have...? In that case let me make sure I make fun of a bunch of people on the internet that I never met in person and know nothing about. ;) Sarcasim I'm not here for popularity and I don't need yours, Therrins or anyones approval. Thanks. You guys are taking this way to serious. Lighten up mate.

Are you really that anal? Your going to call me out on calling an explore a mission dude. Maybe your not pushing your self hard enough, some of the locations I have done have felt more like missions and less like an explore. In any case what's it really matter, call it what ever you want. do you even have a point with your last part of your above quote?? I was a teenager breaking into places to explore them, over a decade ago bro. Whats the big deal? Why do you have it in for me so much Therrin? I think you have a man crush. You want to hold hands and go draining lol. You must like starting online drama? You know nothing about me, yet you spend a lot of time on UER bashing me. It's a shame really. I'm sure if we met in person, your a nice guy. In any case, I wish you well. [last edit 2/22/2013 6:33 AM by Gerv - edited 3 times]

Yeah I don't talk about that stuff on open parts of the forum. And if I allude to it I don't do so in some way that makes me sound awesome and mysterious for having done so, like a private commando. I say "went for a night hike with no lights". It's not a "mission", it's just simple trespass. You're not sneaking in under cover of darkness after swimming upriver, then jackie chan'ing your way up a drain pipe so you can chuck norris your way through a brick wall so you can cut through the wire and craw-walk across a mine field 6" at a time while feeling ahead of you with a non-metallic probe to check for land mines till you get to the reactor building where you rappel down a ventilation shaft and end up in the men's room where you change into a uniform, slip past the guards and save the girl then fuck her brains out in the janitor's closet; then changing into a doctor's uniform and putting her in a body bag and carrying her out over your shoulder while saying "these are not the droids you're looking for" to all the guards you pass, till you reach your predetermined safe zone where a stealth chopper stops to pick you both up and take you back to NORAD for debriefing and to get treated for herpes.
You're just trespassing to take pictures while dodging security guards, who make $10/hr and hate their bosses. If you wanna think of it in your own fantasy-land way so that you can be more than what you really are; that's cool. But everytime someone calls it a "mission" on here, other people read it and they start calling it a "mission" and the next thing you know there's all these abandoned-barn-exploring ninja's out there planning night raids and missions. FUCKING HELL **EDIT** TL;DR Version: Call a spade a spade. Don't call it a Reinforced Trenching Device Mark 1 Mod 2 [last edit 2/22/2013 9:51 PM by Therrin - edited 1 times]

| | | your point is very well put therrin and I have made a mental note on the word "mission" I even agree with you, beleve it or not lol. and you made me laugh with your long winded description of a mission good stuff. But on my defense, I do have some former military training as well as I came from a graffiti background where many writers call outings missions. But I like the way you put it. Let's just call them explores. Cheers man. [last edit 2/22/2013 10:11 PM by Gerv - edited 1 times]

| | | The type of work I do can become very mundane after a while and I'm always looking for interesting stuff to listen to on youtube or whatever else. I like to hear different peoples perspectives of this hobby, so I gave this and many of the other podcasts on AU a listen. I thought it wasn't bad and it helped speed up my shift.

| | | Talking about missions, I went on this mission into this restricted Air Force Base, with armed patrols, dogs and all kind of stuff. Wait this wasn't a mission as I didn't do any trespassing.
Forget about it....
