| | | I was exploring a defunct munitions plan and I could see a pretty big storm was blowing in. I checked my phone and found out it was a fairly severe storm. I got distracted taking photos of the site with the storm in the background and before I knew it the storm was on top of me. I hid in one of the steam towers and waited out the storm. It was pretty cool to hear the thunder in a giant steam stack.

| | | Just heavy heavy snow. The winter before last kicked New England's ass and I didn't slow down my exploring. That whole season there wasn't a single easy one, it kinda sucked. Ever run from an alarm you've set off in three hundred yards of snow up to your stomach?

Not too extreme. But I do appreciate that the only explore I've had the opportunity with you was excessive heat. Then got us stuck in a tiny building because it was storming. The way the rain was assaulting The open windows was quite entertaining.

| | | Oh yeah, I forgot--made the extreme mistake of exploring an intensely fire damaged mill in heavy snowfall. You know the one if you're around Worcester. Not only was getting in and out a severe pain in the ass, but we'd heard part of the ceiling fall in on the other side of the building. It was right in the area we were headed towards...the weight was too much and the whole floor came down under it.

Not to mention that when any sort of weather hits many people arent out at all. Also I love exploring in winter because theres no bloody insects or plants, keeps the stoners away too

| | | Given the fact I live in Canada, I've explored in pretty much every type of severe weather. Snowstorms, severe thunderstorms, freezing cold, heatwaves... pretty much everything. Thunderstorms are amazing so long as you've got shelter where you're exploring. I love watching a good thunderstorm from the roof of a tall building. Snowstorms aren't so fun though...

As long as the temperature is somewhere between 20 and 110 degrees Fahrenheit it's just quite normal weather. Above or below would be not normal but not extreme. When it comes to rain un-normal starts above 2 feet of water on the street. Extreme starts when my car is flooded.

| | | for some reason a friend and I thought it would be awesome to watch for tornados during a lightning storm on the top of a 10 story factory. I pulled out my cell phone to send a text, and all my hair (12 inches at the time) stood straight up. I threw my phone and ducked. Nothing came of it though. In another extreme, explored the Indianapolis Coke plant on a 100 degree day. Climbed this coal tube. Collapsed halfway up and puked 6 or 7 times before crawling my way to fresh air and water at the top. It was easily 120 degrees in the tube. It's the kind of hell I wouldn't recommend to anyone.
