I went to this christian high school growing up, that was very strict. A lot of negative energy there, but anyway instead of going on "field-trips" we went on these "mission-trips."

So this one time, they take us to skid row. Bus full kids in downtown LA, we're pulled over outside of our destination, with people buying bags meth/cocaine right along side the bus. Anyway our destination was some derelict hotel, stairway access only. So we go in and make it up to the 34th floor. All the while we hear people in rooms moaning in pain/pleasure or possibly mental instability. Random spots all over the carpet halls too (blood, urine, shit, and god knows what else). The entire time me and my friends are expecting to get stabbed by some junkie with a syringe or get knifed by some meth addict trying to rob us. We just hung back and did nothing, a lot of the bible thumping kids knocked on doors but only 2 people answered in 4hrs. I guess it beats the LA zoo. I just had this vibe the while time I was there that someone was going to killing me.

Is this true?!

That's fucked...

You come beating like moth's wings, spastic and violently. Whipping me into a storm, shaking me down to the core.

Death wish.
Yeah, that's negative energy for sure.

Your security measures were inadequate.
How unfortunate for you.

When I first went to one place me and my friend stepped inside and were so overwhelmed by the place it was a bit too much and we walked out. I guess because we hadn't explored much else at the time. There was talk of the place being haunted but that's the rumor to ANY abandoned hospital. I hate when people think just because a place is abandoned it's possessed by demons or something. Some places are a bit spooky but I try to stay more aware of whether or not there's an actual human beings presence coming to kick me off the property.

People ask me alot if I've ever encountered ghosts. Like I'll just see one sitting in a chair and ask if I can chill providing I don't make a ruckus.

Lol, I do get off a bit on the fact that they think I'm some demon hunter or something...I mean when it comes from the cowardly 'OMG, you do that!?' types. But I hate being condescended to about it. This jerk I worked with used to call me a ghost hunter because he knew it would piss me off.

I actually came across a place like that today (pics to come), it was an old restaurant. As I walk inside, (the front door being unlocked), I felt a chill on the back of my neck, which was odd, since I was in vacation in Florida and it was bordering on 35 degrees Celsius out, which is pretty hot, especially for someone from Saskatoon. Anyways, I poke around the main hall for a bit, snap a few pictures, then I headed for the kitchens. It was much darker, and I'd forgotten my flashlight, so I opened the doors as wide as they would go, and there was still hardly any light in there. I could see the three distinctive cracks that signal a door to the outside on the far side of the kitchen, so I head towards it. When I'm five feet away, something stops me in my tracks. Completely. I was frozen, deer in the headlights for about thirty seconds, every one of my internal alarms was blaring, yelling at me to get the hell out of there, you know, roiling stomach, sweaty feet clammy palms, the works. I look to my left and can just barely make out a doorway into an even darker room. I very slowly and very carefully back away from the doorway. I would not have walked past it if you gave me a million dollars. Something just didn't feel right. I'm a pretty perceptive guy, and there was something off about that little closet, and not just the fact that it was darker and colder than the backside of the moon while outside it was blazing hot. I heard a sound like rustling, something very soft, like scales on old insulation. Then a very sudden 'taptaptaptap' sound, like you had clacked nails on tile. I freaked and beat feet the hell out of there. So I circled back around the outside to open that other door I had seen earlier, and as I slowly ease it open with a very long stick, a three foot alligator slowly comes into view. I had disturbed it's nest. Thank god I had the sense to run when I did, otherwise, I would have been lunchmeat.
Bottom line, sometimes you get a bad feeling, it's like a sixth sense. If you get those bodily alarms I mentioned above, it's best to listen to your instincs and move your shit. There might be some local fauna hanging about.

Entry to the rooftop playground is free, if you look up enough to know it's there.

A 3 foot alligator? I used to live in FL an alligator that small isn't going to bother you unless your 15 inches tall. As for bad feelings, I agree with the 6th sense if you get a bad feeling but for me its more of a worry about cops not anything else that I might encounter in an abandonment.

Before a big explore I like to work with leather. The Native Americans always said that working with hides and pelts releases the soul.

Yeah, I'm not from Florida, I'm here on vacation. So little or not, a three foot gator jumping out of nowhere is going to scare the hell out of you. Especially if you already have a bad feeling about something.

i think someone else already said this , when u get a bad feeling it usually is associated by somthine else u saw or heard . i was exploring in solo an abandonned hospital last summer , and everything was fine untill i saw a squatters bed thats when i started having a tiny bad feeling. wich then turns to a bit of fear , then u start hearing sounds (wich are frequent in old building) and make you freak out even more . everything is mostly all in your mind . if u believe in ghost and set out exploring to try and find some , usually turn out you will find some .

Squatters bed made with ceilling tiles and an old bed sheet

If i could erase bad times and make everything ok, id start over and live everysingle day
