Yo, what's up, everyone!

My name's Nic and I've just recently started urban exploring in the San Antonio/Austin area. I'm petty new to this thing but from what I've gotten to do so far, it's been pretty sweet, so let me know on any tips and whatever else I need to know, especially anything specific to my area such as spots and what to look out for. I really want to get into this hobby as I've always lived in a sort of run-down sort of rural area close to Detroit until recently and I want ot see what's around.
Hope to see some of you around soon!

Hi All,

My name is Dean and I just found out about this forum and the hobby in general. I have been mostly rural exploring for years, and a little urban stuff. I just never knew there was so many like minded people. I would love to connect with anybody who wants to explore rural or urban in the SF Bay Area.

Hey all,
I'm new to this UE thing but am very happy to become part of it. I have yet to do any proper exploring, but cannot wait to see what adventure will unfold for me. I would love to connect and explore with some people and am in the Reno/Truckee area. I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Hey guys! I've always wanted to join this forum and do some urban exploration, just never had the time before. Now that life has finally slowed down a bit I'm excited to join and find new places to explore. I'm based out in Wisconsin, but honestly I am a sucker for a good drive and would explore anywhere in the Midwest. I think the rural areas of wisconsin are beautiful. It's always fun to find some area where life has been before, even when the location is incredibly remote. It's a strange connection, but one I love. Anyone who wants to explore Wisconsin in particular should definitely not be a stranger

Hello everyone!

My name is Texie, I'm from San Antonio, Texas, and I'm 21 years old. I've been into urbex since I was in middle school, and Six Flags New Orleans had been at the top of my bucket list for YEARS. Luckily for me, I had the opportunity to do an internship for a few months in New Orleans at the beginning of this year. Many sources say that SFNO is supposed to be torn down relatively soon, and I knew I'd most likely never have another chance to explore the quintessential Abandoned Place I'd dreamed of for 10 years, so I scoped it out, researched as much as possible (even though I've already seen every inch of the place on YouTube and the Closed for Storm documentary lol), and went by myself. Hands down, one of the coolest things I've ever done. I ducked security quite a few times, but I got a great vlog out of it!
That was only in March, so I'm still relatively new to the actual exploring part, but since then I've gone to three other places: Plaza Tower in NOLA - the 5th tallest abandoned building in the world, Splashtown water park in San Antonio - which has unfortunately since been leveled to build a dumb car dealership, and the San Antonio Juvenile Home for Boys/Home for the Aged - definitely the riskiest yet, since it's Bexar County Private Property.
My YouTube channel is called lonelystarstate, if anybody is interested! I also bring a disposable camera to every location, so I can't wait to share more of my explorations with people who also like to trespass (or watch other people trespass) for fun!

Hello Everyone!

I'm Conor (he/him) and I'm from originally from Seattle WA but have been living in Salem OR for a couple years now. I've been into urbex off and on for about five years now and since I just did my first big exploration I thought It was long time I make an introduction.
I just finished college and all my friends scattered across the country I thought it was long past time to get to know the long lost corners of this state. I've done a bit of exploring in Oregon and Washington but would with a cross country road trip this summer I've got a real opportunity to see places across the country.
I can't wait to share my photos with fellow explorers and see what cool places you guys find as well!

Hi everyone! I'm Dave and so excited to start exploring my city. I'm in Dallas for now and have already found some cool places that I'd love to explore with people.

If anyone can help me get my photos to be the right size for this website, I'd appreciate that help as well - so far they have been way too big, and compressing them reduces the quality to the point of being barely recognizable.

Thanks!

Hey everyone!

I'm Ethan and got into parkour/UE during high school in the south bay CA, and then went down to college in SLO where I was able to find a couple of sweet spots. Back for the summer and not much going on so trying to find some spots around the bay.

Hoping to hit up the bay area bunker run later this summer so might see some of yall there.

Some of my hobbies right now are mountain biking (a bit of riding street), a bit of surfing, camping, hiking, etc. Just love to get out of the house and do shit. Music tastes right now: been listening to a lot of classic rock, psychedelic rock, soul, and indie.

Hope to see you on the rooftops!

Hi. I'm Conner.

I am from the North Texas area and I found this site recently when searching for other abandoned places in the area that I could check out. I have explored the now recently demolished Woodmen's circle home, a very old abandoned cemetery in Oklahoma and a couple hospital's in the area. I am very open to meeting up and checking out new places or one's that I have already been to with anyone who is curious. Just send me a PM if so.

Hopefully this site will take me to some new places and meet others who have a similar interest.

Hello everyone!

My name is Maggie and I live on Vancouver Island, BC. I have been urban exploring off and on around the island for a quite a few years now. My bf and I have recently grown very interested in finding new locations to explore together. I came across this website about a year ago while surfing the web for new adventures. At the time I did not feel that I had sufficient information to share and contribute. Since then we have been doing a ton of exploring and collecting photos and locations. I am so excited to become an active member and potentially start the process into the inner circle. If anyone has any tips or guidance please let me know! We are also wanting to find and connect with other UER members in the area so contact me if you’re interested!

Happy exploring!

I've technically had an account for a couple years but never used it, so maybe this doesn't count for me. Hey, Piper here. I've been in the San Antonio/Austin area for a few years now, but haven't done a damn thing while out here. In Illinois, I used to have a few haunts me and my friends would go to to take photos and watch the decay progress over the years, but I haven't been to anything like that since the pandemic. Huge fan of film photography. If you know some good spots in SA/Austin or need an explorin' buddy, or just want to complain with me about how expensive film's gotten, I'm always a friend

Hey everyone, I'm Jack

I've been exploring places around North Bay California for a bit but I'll be in Los Angeles for college. Been getting into draining recently and hoping to start exploring mines as well. High viz + hard hat for life.

Hiya! My name is Sabrina,

I didn't notice this thread before but I'm mainly a photographer and for as long as I can remember I have been driven by my curiosity, I want to know everything there is to know about whatever I can figure out. I love mapping out and detailing spaces in my mind and learning the individual history of them.

I first got introduced to urbex in middle school through ruins and military bases near me, but I'm on the ocean side of the California Bay Area and without a car the pickings have been pretty mediocre so I didn't do much for a while, and I've been more determined to pick up my creativity recently and urbex seems to inspire me more than anything.

I wanted to finally start joining in on the conversations more, because this website seems like a lot more of a chill side of the community.

Hello all! I'm somewhat sensitive about giving out my name, so you can call me J. I've been exploring across Long Island since I was a young teenager, and after most of my usual haunts got shut down tight, I took a lengthy break. Figured that now was as good a time as any to get back into it! Looking for a new crew and new places to see. I'm particularly interested in the New York City tunnels, as well, but haven't yet had the nerve to check them out. At least, not while outside of a subway train.

I've recently gotten SCUBA certified, too, and plan to expand my "urban exploring" to shipwrecks, once I get enough experience to safely do so.

Let me know if you have any suggestions or are willing to take someone on if you're around!

Hoping to do some exploring soon.

Hello!

Just joined the Discord but figured I'd make an introductory post here as well.

I'm from the Pacific Northwest, PDX area.
Explored plenty of things growing up, always had an interest in spelunking/urbex/discovering the past.

I work full time,in my free time am a musician and am looking forward to doing some field recordings and sound captures in urbex locations.

Thanks for reading!

Hello folks! We are an urbex duo. Two cousins, one passion. Our names are Max and Alex. We started exploring abandoned places a few years back and we have not stopped since. We are from Quebec, Canada. We found this forum by searching online for spots. One of our values is to not show any traces of our visit ; nothing broken and nothing stolen.

We are looking forward to meeting new people!

Can I say that being new, not able to post, only like and explore, I’ve learned so much particularly how to research. I’m a Texan and love exploring and geocaching but locally exploring is another realm entirely. I’m very grateful for everything shared and I can’t wait to explore and see who else has found some interesting historical areas that aren’t “obvious”. Thank y’all for providing this avenue and the levels to keep everything and everyone “safe”.
