Beak? When I was young, I came up with the word kaplunk to describe that part of a cat's anatomy. Never really standardised the spelling of it though.

Though I just recently posted pictures of him in another thread, I figured I'd put him in the official 'Cats' thread too.

Here's Cricket, my ridiculously round and fuzzy and awesome Scottish Fold.

And Ginger, my stray-turned pet big ball-o-love.

Here are my two!

Joey
He's the most laid back cat ever. He just wants love and doesnt care how he gets it. But he's super shy at first

Google
AKA Mr. Fluffy Monster AKA Asshat
He's large, evil, and I swear he's part dog.... Loves water, fetches, loves dog bones, plays tug of war with toys. He's an oddball.

Is it rare for a cat to roar like a lion?

The same as hearing a lion meow like a cat!

I recently had a client bring a Maine Coon in to my clinic and he didn't meow- he roared. He was also 30+ lbs and his paws were/or a bit more of the width of my wrists..

These are my two cats Lumpy and Izzabelle. Lumps is the giant gray one, he is a norwegian forrest cat and Izziee is the lady like and rather round orange and white tabby kitty. They are both nuts and I love 'em.

Sorry to hear that. Himalayans are impossible to keep alive... I've had two, and neither lived too terribly long... probably two or three years each.

I'm sorry to hear that. He had the best life he could with you, though. <3

My condolences.

The one reason I didn't go for a himalayan cat was because of the potential health problems. I'd just lost my old cat after 19 years and I didn't want to take the chance with losing another one so soon.

Yea... Aside from their health issues, they really are AWESOME cats... One of my favorite breeds. I won't be getting another, that's for sure.

Thank you all. He passed because somebody let him out, though he was a strictly indoor cat. He was no match for the Maine wildlife. My other cat, Blair, is going on 7 years with no major health problems aside from a bout of feline depression a few years ago.
