Posted by Yield do you have the photos from that climb? that's pretty f-ing awesome. |
Not yet, they're still on my girl's phone (mine fell into a glass of beer on that trip [lol], so she can't send it over ). I should have them in a couple of days, however.
Posted by Yield I'm pretty sure that 70 story crane is gonna top it all though... |

The city of Szombathely, viewed from ~15 stories up. Handheld cameraphone pics coming up.
The antenna I climbed. I didn't realize it was nearly 4 stories tall until I looked at the building from the ground.
Looking down on another 10-floor highrise
This one is from the roof of the building, so only 10 stories up.

I'm nominating warbird for best exploring buddy for that one. That's a class act right there.

Well after seeing a 70 story crane climb, my piddly (estimated) 50ft up the lift hill The Coaster at CLP pales vastly in comparison. That and getting on the roof of the Cleveland Hojo. I must step up my game. Perhaps if we ever do something like "Most unique thing climbed" or something, I'll throw the CLP coaster climb into the ring.

dsankt: In fact, the day I die yall are welcome to form an orderly queue and run a train on my eye sockets. I'll be dead and frankly, will not give a f*ck. budda: That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Fuck me sideways this is insane. ~~~~~~ Because it's Cincinnati | |

I find that to be an excellent idea. I'm making it a thread right now

Um, Besides the Mt. Whitney one I submitted (which is likely truly the "highest"), 200ft mine shaft, and as you can see, there are no ladders, or anything of any kind to actually climb. Access was purely by rappelling and re-ascending back up the rope.
Proof of the way back out
And more recently, a 280ft rappel into a crumbling shaft which lacked a collar all together. The sides were actively crumbling and had 4 overhangs to pass on the way back up, ascending the line. Headed Down
Back to the top
Various other climbs:
Give a person a match and they'll be warm for a minute, but light them on fire and they'll be warm for the rest of their life. =) |
