He's still on tour, it's gonna cost a pretty penny to travel to go see him though Theres a couple full concert recordings on some bootleg torrent websites. I've seen one of them and they are in amazing quality. If you can't go see him, at least grab one of the bootlegs!
I'll probably do that cause I can't see myself traveling to see him. Unless there's a concert coming up in Hamilton or something like that. He probably is done in this area though.
Love Cannibalcorpse, and I'm with you on Pantera and Death - Human is still one of my favorites.
I'm taking my son to his first concert next weekend, Ozzy with Slash. He likes 'em, I was not excited since I saw Ozzy last back in 1990 or so. But then I heard he's doing mostly Sabbath and his classic solo stuff. Now I'm dying to hear songs like Into the Void and Mr. Crowley live. I hear Slash does GNR covers as well so it should be pretty good.
Ok if you're an Ozzy fan see him on this Scream tour. He's the same insanely happy goofball but seems...I dunno, more energized. The concert is really a greatest hits tour, going back to the Black Sabbath days (Fairies Wear Boots, Rat Salad, War Pigs) to a lot of earlier solo stuff - hearing Mr. Crowley live was particularly heavy. Let me hear you scream was the only song he did off the new cd. And unlike the overpriced primadonnas the tickets are cheap (ok maybe he can't command the higher prices but still). Great show! Slash opened but because of the mix it sounded like one bass/vocal-heavy muddle.
“You've got to remember that these are just simple farmers. These are people of the land. The common clay of the new West. You know... morons.”
I WISH I COULD GO TO THAT. My friend and I had a full day planned out. Skip the day of school and enjoy a few adventures to popular exploring locations in Hamilton, then off to the concert.
Aerosmith. The concert they had planned for my city was cancelled when he injured himself. I literally cried like a little girl.
Yield's Peer Review: ~Doesn't give a fuck, total badass, and one of my ue-besties. ~Genuine, has positive character and this thing called integrity. Knows when to be serious. Passionate about productive things. Human being. ~fish fish boxing boxing bestest friend evah
I'm also dying to go to the upcoming Neil Young show at Massey Hall. I believe it's a bit of an anniversary show for his Live at Massey Hall album from the 70s. He's going to be playing some stuff from Le Noise, as well as old acoustic and electric songs. It's also gonna be filmed and will be in some movie about him coming out soon. Sadly, tickets were sold out within two hours I hear.
Yeah, I really wanted to see As I Lay Dying at the Metal concert at Downsview Park July 23-24.
Sadly, I already book camping that weekend with my friends so I'm gonna miss it
I saw Ozzy recently when he came to Toronto and shit, almost a 2.5 hour set and a great list of songs at that. Amazing show.
In the end you will be laid to rest where you belong. Bathed in the flames for your hatred and your ignorance. Your the symbol of masculinity, but I can beat king kong.
