I get more and more impressed by this film. It looks like it may be a decent replacement for... dare I say... Kodachrome? Not as bland as other C41 films, and not as garish as some Fuji E-6's.

Just got a roll developed. I have some light leaks that I need to get fixed. Taken with a Canon FTb. Let me know what you all think.

I've shot 3 or 4 rolls of it, I enjoy it. It has a nice feel. It seems comparable to Reala, but Reala has better colors.

I've also shot some rolls of it, I love it. Some example images (the images are linked to the flickr page in case you want to view the full size)
These are all long exposure images because, well, that's mostly what I do and what I want in a color negative film—something that will give me low grain and good colors. I've found that the Ektar delivers quite brilliantly on both counts. I have gotten some grain on the longer exposures, but that's mostly in very low light situations. The first image above was perhaps a two minute exposure and as one can see it has a certain amount of grain (not at all intolerable, however, and even attractive to a degree) due to the low light conditions. But I have some made some ten minute exposures on it (alas not posted to the tubes) that show very little grain due to the larger amount of light.
Given a choice, this is the only color negative film I'll shoot.
(I swear I'm not a Kodak shill! I use other films in E6/B&W!)

I just got a roll back, it's good stuff. I too shot some longer exposures- I just did what the meter said and everything looks fine up to a couple minutes. IMHO, colour negative films have less reciprocity failure issues than B&W negative films.

Oh, forgot to say. I haven't noticed any color shifts, and it seems to require exposures comparable to other color negative films.

I may have to try some of their film. I talk to a rep from Kodak from time to time, I'll see what he thinks of it. Right now, he sells Kodak, but uses Fuji film, and admits it is better than Kodak.
I have had some many art shots ruined by using Kodak, I quit using any thing from them. I'll have to swing by, or order some film and see what I think.

Their film, or their processing? I prefer Fuji's overall range myself, but Kodak's NC, VC, and now Ektar, are stellar films. Provided they are processed properly of course... Neko.
