there are many great zombie movies, my favourite "Return of the Living Dead" probably because it was the first zombie movie i saw around the age of 10.

I enjoyed Diary of the Dead, simply because of it's uniqueness

While it certainly wasn't the pile of shit that "Land of the Dead" was, it wasn't that great.

I really like the original "Dawn of the Dead".

If you want to see something truly awful, find "Biker Zombies from Hell". My mother found a VHS copy at the dollar store and gave it to me in my Easter basket three or four years ago. It's amazingly bad.

Jenna Jameson the douchie porn star- stars in it.
altho the zombies and their make-up were well done.

I saw the first forty minutes of it but I had to stop watching because I can't watch movies with doggie violence in them. For real.

was it people being mean to dogs or dogs being mean to people? i dont like animal violence either, but i did like the zombie dogs in "resident evil" they were well done.

It started with dogs attacking people, so I turned it off assuming the worst.

It looked like Blair Witch Project with zombies. And I fucking hate that movie!

Plus, Land of the Dead was ridiculous.

Dawn of the Dead (the original, not the remake) is my #1 fav. Other very excellent zombie flicks that I love are Zombie: the dead are among us, The Beyond (Fulci LIVES!!!!), Dead Alive (an early Peter Jackson gore fest), and Cemetary Man.

DEAD ALIVE RULES!!!

My favorite would have to be either that, Re-Animator, or Return of the Living Dead (ridiculous!)

I guess that leaves Resident Evil off your list then. I think that might have been the first zombie movie that used heavy make-up appliances for dogs, if you believe the commentary.
