Undead (2003) and Night of the Comet (1984) Were probably some of the worst movies I've ever seen. Death Valley: The Revenge of Bloody Bill was horrible but I liked the metal song at the beginning good ones: Evil Dead Pet Cemetery Planet Terror was all right. here: http://zombie.wiki...st_of_zombie_films holy shit a zombipedia! oh and more: http://www.trashvideo.org/zmdb/index.php

Ok here goes... Evil Dead 2 - this movie is like a bad acid trip. Zombie - pretty boring up until the zombie fights the shark Messiah of Evil - favorite zombie movie EVARRR! So incredibly obscure and random. It's the most amazingly bad movie I've ever seen. Dawn of the Dead - I liked both. Favorite part is when they shoot Burt Reynolds hehe.

ok i was getting kind of worried that no one up till now mentioned the evil dead series. so, thanks vicarious. shaun of the dead (all time fave zombie film) evil dead trilogy dawn of the dead (both) diary of the dead looking forward to dead snow, for sure.
was anyone else really disappointed that the antagonists in "i am legend" were zombies?
ps, watch out for the evil dead remake coming out next year. with a bigger budget and new technology, who knows what raimi will pull out of his ass.

I would have to say that the original Dawn of The Dead is my favourite. I also really like the return of the living dead series, just because it goes from comedy horror, to an attempt at just horror (which is funnier imo), back to comedy horror, and through just as many directors. Also, the movie Dead Alive, also called Brain Dead by Peter Jackson should be mentioned, especially for the lawnmower scene.

I remember seeing Night of the Creeps when I was a kid...scared me to death. Saw it again recently...and obviously didn't get it when I was younger. I thought it was fun..if anything.

They weren't zombies. They were pissed off, mutated... people-like things. Raimi's redoing Evil Dead, huh? This should be interesting. At least Rob Zombie isn't doing it.

You know what's even more interesting...Sam Raimi is also going to be doing the Warcraft movie for Blizzard through Legendary Pictures. I'm praying they do the whole undead aspect of the game with Arthas as the movie. He doesn't have a script yet...so he just might and considering how great the Evil Dead movies are...I think he'd bring something really special to the whole undead/zombie/demon thing of that story, considering that. According to rumor...they've cast someone as Arthas...so they just might be doing that aspect of the story. Shael

Ooh that is. I never got into Warcraft much, but I can definitely see him making that awesome even though most movies based off video games tend to suck horribly. If he does it, I can see the movie attracting a wider audience too instead of just the "Warcrack" fans.

He's already been signed to do it. Raimi is just waiting on a script from the writers, along with Chris Metzen's approval on it, since he's like the "Lore of Warcraft" guru, writer and VP in charge of Creative Development, also the voice of Thrall in the games, worse comes to worse...we'll probably see him as Thrall in the movie, which would be...weird. Last year in August during Blizzcon 2008, negotiations started when he approached the CEO of Blizzard during the convention and in March of this year (I think, if I remember when the announcement was right) they reached an agreement and began actively working on it. This year though, he's busy working on another installment of Spiderman, so we'll have to wait another two years, they're projecting summer of 2011. Shael

Of course many of us did...at least those of us who didn't dissect it and try to find meaning or, heaven forbid, a hidden plot further than the search for the elusive Twinkie.

Very busy...and I sure as hell hope Bruce Campbell comes back for Evil Dead IV, as it looks like Bubba Nosferatu is dead in the water without him. They cast Ron Perlman as Elvis in that one and Sam Giamatti as Colonel Tom Parker. Giamatti says it's still gonna happen, but I don't see how they'll make it by 2011 since it hasn't even gone into preproduction yet. I guess MGM dropped out, according to what I'm hearing. They're saying financial issues, MGM was actually gonna throw some money into it, that's why Campbell dropped out. So, let's pray that Raimi doesn't get a huge budget for Evil Dead IV or else it's bye bye Bruce. It's funny, Campbell likes being a B-C grade movie star, which is sad, he really could make it big if he wanted to, considering how popular the Evil Dead movies are, everybody knows his face. He was Jim Carrey before Jim Carrey was Jim Carrey.

Pontypool http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1226681/ It's not your average zombie movie, as there's almost no gore or action, and you barely even see any zombies. Regardless, it's incredible.

Zombie movies are so popular now people are pumping them out so fast and most are pretty crappy. I like the original Night of the Living Dead, yes...they are slow zombies but its a classic. I really like Fido, its a comedy, but still a great zombie movie. I also really recommend Dead-Alive to anyone who has not seen it, just for the amount of fake blood if nothing else! I absolutely hated Land of the Dead. I dont like a smart zombie. When I saw it in the theater and the 'leader' of the zombies mourns and cries out in anger for other zombies getting killed then starts to think???....I was so mad. I like a stupid blood thirsty zombie out to kill, not to think. But thats just me.
...They all want cake. | |
My favorites are Fido, Shaun of the Dead, Dawn of the Dead (remake and original), and The Evil Dead. I also kind of liked Dead Snow, but it didn't live up to it's potential. Also, I've been seeing this picture on the internet for a while, and I was wondering if anyone knew what movie it was from. I believe it's a Romero film, bit I'm not sure and I would really like to see it.

return of the living dead...
They say "you can't judge a book by its cover!" I say "YES you can, if the cover has a girl on it with a cock in her mouth, its PORN!" if she's 18 and the cock is black, its GREAT porn! | |
City of the Living Dead (for those who love Fulci) Also "Let Sleeping Corses Lie" is worth watching once. "28 days later" is also pretty excellent (I realize its debatable as to weather or not this actually is a zombie movie, but it is in my books. Good luck trying to convince me otherwise).
