I think Starbuck is hard to really "feel" until the second half of the season. Her crash and now this weeks prisoner torture really start the ball rolling. I think Starbuck, on the whole is alot less different then some of the other characters. Tigh's a drunk (I like the new XO better) Boomer is a rookie... and all messed up with uh... her origins. And did anyone notice what they did to Jolly? I'm glad they picked up season two, and I hope Adama is back for S2.... (I won't spoil it for ya'll)

Boomer is definitely my favorite character because she's so complex. I never saw much of the original so I can't compare Starbucks, but I will say that I do like the new Starbuck, though I think her emotions are a bit too extreme at times.
Here's how I think they are going to resolve the Season 1 finale. I haven't read anything about it and I'm completely guessing so I have no idea if this is true or not. If you read this it will spoil the season 1 finale episode though at least

I say that Adama dies but we later find out that the Adama that died was a cylon and the real Adama is hidden somewhere else on the ship or something. Boomer found out from the cylons somehow that the Adama currently running the ship is a cylon and so she shot him to help everyone. Because the Boomer cylon is a defective cylon (as we saw on the planet}. Yeah I mainly just want Boomer to be a good cylon because I like her

Numerous conflicting reports have popped up online concerning the
future of Star Trek, specifically whether or not there will be a 5th
season of Enterprise. Many interviewees from the cast, production
teams, and spokespersons have said that they're not reversing the
canning of the show. However, information leaked that Spike TV
(which aires TNG and DS9) is interested in airing Enterprise's 5th
season if it 'were made available'. There are also rumors that
though filming of the finale is complete, all of the sets have been
placed in a 'hold and fold' status, rather than be struck and
cannibalized for future sets of other productions; this could
indicate that Paramount is reexamining available options for the
show.

There is no comparison. Katee Sackhoff plays a moody serious chick Starbuck and in TOS Starbuck was a goofy ass character played by Dirk Benedict. The only similarity between the 2 is thier liking of cigars.

I'm not sure I can agree that with you on that. The new starbuck is what I envision a modern version of the image they created of starbuck in the late 70's. Again, I think Kara fleshes herself out a bit more in the last 4 episodes of the season.
Ron Moore is the reason BSG is so great. Ron Moore could bring back Enterprise. The man is pure genius.
Now, for my ideas on the s1 cliffhanger (spoiler)
I can almost say for certain that Adama lives. Anyone remember the TOS episode "Fire in Space" ? For those who haven't seen it, the final scene of the episode shows the results of a cylon kamikaze attack. The galactica is in flames, Apollo and Starbuck are all shot up and Adama is out cold. I think Adama is going to be out for a few episodes, but that'll be nice. Good Development on Tigh. Galactica-Boomer is a walking dead chick. She'll be space just as Starbuck, Helo and Caprica-Boomer jump back in the raider. They can't kill C-Boomer, because she's pregnant with the BSG version of the Kwisatz Haderach... I can't wait for the promised Cylon civilization subplots.
