So people ask a lot on the topic of what should i bring to defend my self? which is a good topic but it seems to me that unless tour a complete ass hole to the people you run into no ones gonna attack you. but it never hurts too keep your guard up. But anyways one day i was shopping around and i found this nice toy, its Not the best or greatest but it would defiantly work with out a doubt.
about 10inches closed

It's legal to carry in your state and if you don't mind the extra weight, sure, why not?

Be careful about carrying it across state lines.

These will do a lot more damage more easily than a maglite, they're super duper illegal in Australia.

Its not legal in NJ. I can tell you that. A lot of times you need a permit to carry different weapons for varying states...lol

Can you arrest people too since thats what the cops can do?

No laws against carrying tripods though, and a tripod has a much longer reach too.

true, but some tripods are oddly shaped and most the time cost a fair amount of money, i paid $15 for a steel stick that is meant to hit people.

Ok so bring that when you're exploring in a state that its illegal in and when you get arrested for possession of a weapon, don't say we didn't warn you.

You can by them, but they are illegal to carry in California.

I carry a baton and mace at all times in my car which a police officer gave to me. They have been found by a highway patrolman once and he was more than forgiving considering I was traveling alone and was a long way from home. There have only been two occasions in which I have pulled the baton out and I am sure that they deterred anything that may or may not have happened. I feel safer with them in my car for sure. Although I am not sure what the law is in TN for such things, I have no intention of removing them from between my seats.

Show up at 9:30 with 15 dollars cash and your fingers crossed.

Lol i like how people get so worked up. if stores sell the the shit then there not illegal. but anyways, since the butt hurt guy left. batons arnt really crappy. $15 for a 26" in solid steel baton that is no more then 1pound sounds pretty damn good to me. id much rather pay $15 for a steel baton that is intended to hit things, then waste $50+ on a tripod that's mostly gonna bend or brake if i ever do hit someone with it.. but i mean hey maybe y'all are rich and can just go out and buy tripods like that but not me.

Not illegal to own. Illegal to carry in public. Like a gun. Anybody can buy one, but if you walk in a store with it in ur pocket ur breaking the law.

If im gonna carry a club, Maglite. A 4,6 or 8 will do just fine & legal to carry in every state. + they are a flashlight(duh), so that is always a handy thing when exploring too.

Get one of these for your key chain.

You can even take it into an airplane, and if it's the right size, it will perfectly fit in your hand.
