got a new rig built up, that i'm pretty excited about. hope to test it out soon.
(flashlight with tracing paper diffuser mounted to a mini gorilla pod with a clamp) the legs are shorter that i had expected, but still long enough for stepirons

Nice, and a really good idea! What kind of lights are those?

I'd love to see some of the results once you try them out.

Great work, those lights look as though they will be very useful. I too am wondering how they are attached to the gorilla pods.

They are no name knockoffs, the clamp is attached to it by normal tripod threads.

Its an UltraFire WF501B
-Cree XR-E R2-WC LED emitter
-250 lumens (maybe)

The 28.89mm diameter head makes it the perfect size for slipping on 35mm film cases as diffusers. Neato!

Awesome. I've been using headlamps just placed on the ground for a while along with flashlights on bean bags. This looks like an excellent solution. Got a whole setup for under 20 beans. Thanks for the tips.

Those look great are the tripod legs magnetic? I just picked up something similar today. It runs on 3 AA's and makes about 70 Lumens the legs are magnetic, and it does have some o-ring sealing though I doubt its submersible.
The best part is it has a dial to control brightness and it was only $27.
