My buddy (who has had hundreds of turbo dodges) is selling his house and offered me a blue 86 Daytona t-top turbo z 5spd with a top mount inter cooler for free. I might take him up on it (but my wife will hate me for a bit ).

If you decide you have to get rid of it, and it has a title, I'd gladly make the drive and buy it from you. There aren't any left here.

Where I live, these cars just scream "spousal abuse". The spouse usually has a Montana van with a booted in grill, punched windshield and Winnie the Pooh stickers.

Tinker Bell. There is always at least one piece of Tinker Bell paraphernalia.

All the "white chocolate" Malibu's-Most-Wanted wannabes drive overly-chromed and poorly-tinted versions of those around here. It's either that or someone who's 200 driving a bone-stock one.

Sleeperspirit--- I do enjoy those old turbo Dodge's. Drove my friend's Spirit R/T shortly after moving up here. When that car wasn't on jackstands, it was a really fun drive.

Two guilty pleasures spring to mind, to me. My first car, the Neon, especially the first gen. Yes, it was a rotting-out slushbox whose trans started to show wear at 80k, but I loved that fucking heap. Living up here in the Rustbelt, I see that Dodge makes their cars out of the cheapest tinfoil money can buy. It's sad seeing 2010's cars already developing fender rot.

The other is first gen Talons/Lasers/Eclipses. We all know DSM = Down Several Months....but there's just something about the look of those and the things I know they are capable of....for about 5 minutes.

dsankt: In fact, the day I die yall are welcome to form an orderly queue and run a train on my eye sockets. I'll be dead and frankly, will not give a f*ck.
budda: That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Fuck me sideways this is insane.

those DSM cars showed many a young lad the horrors and joys of turbocharging... seriously. The responded well to bolt-ons, would take stupid amounts of abuse and were (relatively) cheap to repair when you did manage to hurt them. Finding a 1st or 2nd Gen Eclipse that hasn't been molested is like finding gold.

I really want one of these:

There's nothing cool or thrilling about them, I just want one.

I had a love/hate relationship with my Cherokee when I had it...just so many small things after a while you had to keep on top with that became a pain...they are fun 4x4 rigs but I wouldn't go back to them as a daily driver, especially now driving the Suburban....

One of my customers has one just like that but blue, two years ago some thugs pushed it down the street and stole the radiator out of it.....

A friend of mine had a beater Wagovan with a purple vinyl wrap, a solar system mural on the hood, and a pair of bull horns for a hood ornament. It was in such terrible shape but never really died...except for one day where it did really die and was subsequently sent to Car Heaven.

There was an immaculate one a couple of years ago near me in Toronto, but I seem to have lost the photos. It was milano red, and definitely showroom condition.

I really need to find some property, so I can actually buy some of these cars I want/do the projects that need more space than I have.

Pontiac GrandAm's. I don't know why I like these cars so much. They are unreliable pieces of shit, but I'd own another one in a heart beat if the rational part of my brain ever stopped working. It was always a joy to sit in that cheap GM cockpit surrounded by red lighting. For real, I LOVED the red dash lighting, lol.

I miss mine a lot, but I couldn't put up with the PASSLOCK issue happening several times per month, and taking several resets each time to finally work again. It had other issues, so since it'd cost more to get it all fixed up than it was worth to sell, I opted to sell it.

Having payments again sucks, but it's nice my car starts when I want it to every time.

Ah the N-Body. Not one of GMs best designs. FYI the security locking up issue is easily fixed with a simple resistor. I have done this on many of these vehicles.

The Buick version was the Skylark, although they were not made in this bodystyle. Discontinued in 1998 I believe. There was also a Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme N-Body made for a few years. Basically a Malibu with different trim and badging.

Most of the cars I love are considered odd and undesirable to most. My first love is the GM W-Body cars. Specifically the 1st gen cars from 88-96. I own a 1989 Pontiac Turbo Grand Prix and a 2001 Buick Regal GS. I have also had a 1996 Grand Prix and 1993 Chevy Lumina. Honestly if it's a 80s or 90s GM I proably like it, the weirder it is, the better. My friends grandfather has a Citation X-11 sitting in a barn with maybe 50 other cars. I've been wanting that car for awhile now, unfortunately he's not really the selling type.

I also love the big old boats. Lincoln, Cadillac, Chrysler etc. Anything from the 60s on up to the late 80s. If it's the better part of 20 feet long, has a living room for a interior and gets 10 mpg on a good day I'm all about it.

I had the 3.0 V6 with a 5 speed. It could barely reach highway speed if you're going up a slight hill, the leaf spring mounts really liked to rust through, but you couldn't kill it. Mine made it over 30,000 miles with a cracked block before being junked for other reasons.

And don't even get me started on my 1989 Daytona Shelby. I often wonder if I hate the car more or less than how much I love the car.

I like how the "Edge" is, by and large, one of the least "edgy" cars ever. Public service departments ordered "Edge" models in all white for fuck's sake.

YES! I didn't think you were there for it for some reason. What happened to my photos of it? I know I took some because it was so clean. I recall even the interior being spotless.

I really want one...saw a really tidy Civic hatchback yesterday as well of the correct generation. My new driveway is a three car driveway...and a backyard storage area that's perfect for car parts...hmmmmm!

No, I definitely had photos of it because I remember showing them to people. I can picture what they look like, they just seem to have disappeared. I found the photo of the one rotting into the ground by your parents' place, but that's it.

Also saw one over the weekend in Portland!!
