New to the Bay Area

Hi,

I've been exploring over in the Philadelphia area for several years and just moved to the Bay Area. Looking for some explore buddies on the West Coast. PM me if you'd like to meet up.

Thanks!

B

Welcome to the west. There is a thriving community out here, and some people who have been doing what we call exploration since the 70s. PM'd

The 70's? Pier 70 is open today [Sunday] until 7 for a food truck festival. Be there and welcome to the west

Rather than create a new thread it would seem more appropriate to post under this one. I'm in a similar situation; I recently moved here from Nebraska (as the username would suggest). I don't know many people that share the hobby out here in the bay yet, so I'd love to meet up/explore with some of you. First impressions would indicate that the scene is much more lively here than back in Nebraska. I have high expectations

Welcome OmahaUser! I really like your Berkeley rooftop pictures, I hope you'll be able to explore more locations in the Bay soon.

Hey OmahaUser, I'm in a similar boat. Have some place I'm intending to check out in the Bay Area but would love some company. Let me know if you want to do some exploring together!

I would recommend Fort Ord. Not only is it a large area, but it is easily accessible, great if you want to focus more on the decay of an area than the adrenaline of a sneaky ninja infiltration.

However it is in closer to Monterey than San Francisco.

I am new to the bay area as well and live really close to Mare Island. However it seems pretty difficult to explore there since it seems very well guarded... Has anybody had any luck of getting into buildings there? also are there any other places I should check out in the Benicia/Vallejo area?

I wish I could say I was moving to the bay area, but I'm actually just going to be in Monterey/Carmel for the week of Thanksgiving (from the Dallas area). I've been out there at least once a year since I was 17 years old and lived out there briefly in 2010, but I've never had the chance to take photos or explore with anyone else in the area. I'd love to meet some of you guys if anyone is willing or able. I'll be arriving on the 24th of this month and leaving the first of December. I can't wait! This is seriously the highlight of my year.

I started a new thread in hopes of getting more of a response, so I'll just mention here as well that I'm in Davenport right now, and this soon-to-be-demolished location is calling my name if anybody is interested... I know it's last minute, but I'd love the company if anyone is nearby!
