Something a little different, at least for me. Since I love trains it goes without saying I had a blast! 1.

Everyone has a dark side, mines just a little more illuminated. |

Love it! And I need to visit this location to add it to my list of Bridges. I also just took a trip and saw some Rail Bridges. http://www.uer.ca/...urrpage=1&pp#post0 PM Sent.

Cool.

Is this the same RR trestle associated with the Goatman legend?
“You've got to remember that these are just simple farmers. These are people of the land. The common clay of the new West. You know... morons.” |

Hope you don't mind another comment on your work. Love the Crapper! Wonder what infestation you would come home with if you had to make a pit stop there...Might be safer to hit the leaves, bark and trees. 10 is a beauty! and the sun streaking down in the last shot is stunning.
A place of Mystery is Always worth a curiosity trip! |

Thanks everyone, I appreciate it!

Very nice shots! On 13 & 14 it looks like you actually went up onto the track.. was there a ladder or something? Looks dangerous.

I guess it could be considered a ladder? The original game plan was to climb it this way. It didn't take long to realize it was extremely slick and covered in some nasty substance? So I went to plan B which was climbing the embankment. That took a good 30 minutes as it was almost vertical. I got on the tracks, got my pics and came down in about 30 seconds..... because I slipped and tumbled all the way down....

Also not sure what your plan for getting on top was once you reached the top of that "ladder"!

Well.. you are far braver than I.

We've got a pair of tracks kind of like that not far from my house but i've seen a train on them only one time but i'm still not sure how it stood up to the weight on it. The quality of the material is cool to see compared to mass production.

this spot really creeped me out when i came up on it. it was still light out but the trestle is in the woods, in the shade. all of a sudden there was this huge looming structure in the woods. i havent had many scary/creepy feelings while exploring but this one definitely did. great shots!
