I grew up around there and went to Joyland many times as a kid.
Something like 80% of the office space in downtown Wichita is abandoned. You might want to look into that.

Nope Im from OK. I wanted to check out W W W but the rest of our team had other plans so we had to high tail it back to OK. Yeah I heard alot of Wichita was
abandoned. If anybody gets any shots from Wild West World I'd love to see'em (even if it's just from the outside gates)

I received this comment from Beth Marshall : I work for an amusement ride mfg and this morning we receieved an email with some very sad news. Mr.Stan Nelson (owner of Joyland amusement park) passed away last night at the age of 88. My prayers go out to his family and may Stan R.I.P. Thanks for the memories Stan .

that is sad news. i went "on your" as a teen. i may been some of his rides.
When I say I'm 'clean and sober', it means I've showered and I'm headed to the liquor store. |
