And Quebec is like the texan part of Alaska with some maple sirup, poutine and some quebec pizza.

I enjoyed going to a local establishment in Toronto last month and seeing a sub-menu for "Canadian food." All it had listed was poutine! Not bad, but I was hoping for... more?

Don't blame the canadian for that, blame the tourists for the ''it's a fun meal'' thing.

Must say I love poutine, but I can barely move from my chair.. makin me an armchair explorer.

by looking at the guy's face on the first picture, you can tell a poutine is all you really need.

see how a poutine becomes a complete meal by adding a couple vegetables and meat.

I'd rather clog my arteries and die with a Kentucky Hot Brown... I can get it down the road. Three cheeses, bacon... some variants smother on the gravy.

To get the "more" ,you have to travel around the country side, with good earthy region recipes.Or have a good wallet and then try a specialty restaurant. There's a lot of good "traditional" food in the province of Quebec but you must stay away of the fries/poutine trailers !

They did not know it was impossible. So they did it.
Urban exploration is really like gay sex.The best way in is the back door.
