An idea? Anyway there are many places to explore in Vancouver but Richmond has some residential abandonments that you might want to check out. They are all boarded up and I have not seen them up close so I don't know if you would be able to get into them. There is an abandoned barn that I'm going to check out soon. I'll post pics once the weather is nicer
I make love the same way I resolve arguments. With my fists. |

| | | Haven't been on here in awhile and wow people are getting pretty snotty and stuck up on this board.. I'm new back in van so thought this thread may be informative but suppose not, anyways bud I heard about a tour that covers some underground sites that starts at I believe the Armory. I was just talking to a friend about this and will try to find the information. Also there is a local historian (friend of a friend) that does van tours would probably be a good start, he does stuff like tours of Vancouver's less pretty side (brothel's and old pubs and whatnot).

| | | You're probably taking about Jon Atkin, local historian who does these tours. He also does/did a mystery tour where you never know exactly the destination till you're there. He's done some good stuff, and can get into places with his credentials that are completely sealed up like the Post Office tunnel from end to end, that was one of his tours. He's also very open to anyone with questions from an historical perspective, I've emailed him several times. http://www.johnatkin.com/

| | | I think it's time for a meet...Coffee, beer...whatever a consensus might be. I'd like to see some new faces, and some familiar ones as well Any takers?
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too! |

| | | Should make a separate thread for this. Where is Brooklyn's? If I am going to make it, it will have to be on the bus route in in Vancouver(downtown preferably).

| | | brooklyn's is a pub in downtown new west and close to at least one site of UE interest, it's on a bus route but it's easier to get there by skytrain. We used to hold meets there, with toad team leader and more it's not too rowdy and has reasonably priced drinks. Just a suggestion.
