| | | Thought I'd share a few pictures of a fairly well known feed mill in Greenville, Texas. These shots were taken back in October '07. The mill is still operational, but the room in these photos, located near the center of the mill is disused. Among other pieces of junk, there was an engine hood to a Mack truck in there! The room in which 2nd & 3rd images were shot was totally dark...as an example, the third image was a six minute exposure, mostly because of the time needed to light-paint all the areas. Excuse the first pic...the last two are linked from my Flickr page, but the exterior shot isn't, and won't be posted there...so I uploaded it here, which is why it's so small. Thanks! | | | Great colors. Especially the open door.
I'm a blatant waste of time and resources. |

do you step in front of the lens to paint the objects? if so i guess you would have to move quick as to not get picked up by the cam

For these two shots, both were painted from out of the picture, but I did walk through both shots to get to the lighting positions. For example, to fire off the red strobe in the next room on the first shot, I actually triggered the camera with a wireless remote while standing in the doorway itself, walked into the next room and fired off the strobe, then walked back through the doorway and painted the wall from camera right, then closed the shutter with the remote.
