| | Calgary Subway System? < on 3/6/2007 12:42 AM >
| | | So, I am the new guy. And I have a typical new guy question. Has anyone in the Calgary heard anything about what was supposed to be a subway system under downtown Calgary? I know theres various entrances (the ones I can remember are on 14th and 10th and Mcleod Tr. and 10th). But in anycase, is the idea of UEing them along the same lines as UEing the other C-Train tunnels; not recommended?

| | | Not connected to the active lines, only accessible via secured hatch.

| | | IT IS NOT A SUBWAY! I hate to yell, but there are no subways in Alberta. The C-Train and the Edmonton LRT are both light rail systems (a.k.a. trams). They both run at street level and underground, and the C-Train also runs on elevated track.

I hate to yell, but the c-train doesn't run on elevated track. If it did, I would yell with joy...

| | | Yes you are right. I thought there was, then realized that it was a bridge.

Technically, those portions below ground are regarded, at least to M.O.W., as subways. So don't go crazy!
