| | | I found this while camping in OK. Pretty cool, huh?
1.
2.
3. 73 steps. My legs are STILL sore.
4.
5.
6. I call this one: Too lazy to get the tripod out so I used a rock.
7.
8.
9.
10.
11.
12.
13. I caught a bird and tied my camera to his legs for this shot...
11.
I have a lot more, but they're not as good. I have some more interior as well.

| | | That's cool as hell! #11 rocks but the whole place looks like a lot of fun. Lots of rappelling opportunities.
I'm a blatant waste of time and resources. |

| | | Yea.. there were! It was really awesome. There were all kinds of hidden passages and stair cases only a foot wide. I couldn't fit unless I took off my back pack and went sideways.

| | | Tell me you're putting this in the DB so I can give it a solid 10. That is an awesome find!

The castle itself is NOT a state park.

| | | Hey Raticus, Can you find out why Happiedaze's castle site in the DB says "This location has no photos and can't be rated yet." I know I'm a crackhead and all but it sure looks like it has photos. [last edit 4/18/2007 10:43 PM by Barry Kooda - edited 1 times]

Some info I found: Based on old english architecture, The Castle was constructed with native materials in the early 1930s by Dr. Ellsworth Collins, who was a professor at Oklahoma University for many years. The building served as Bar C Ranch HQ and Dr. Collins’ summer home.

| | | This is or was called Collings Castle and was the headquarters for a ranch called the 101. It also served as the owners private home.
