| | | 3. The swimming pool. The parking garage used to be under the pool, but has long since been filled in... Actually under the pool isnt filled in and has all sorts of equipment rooms and changing rooms etc... The Garage for the hotel was/is across the street. sux to see the tagging thats gone on. Theres some really cool stories and pics on this place on the net, sort of a requirement to do this on if your gonna start doing UE!

| | | Man, I should have made time to check the place out when I was in town about 8 months ago. Unfortunately there was no time to be spared. Maybe I could meet someone there to explore it and then go to Dallas for more adventure. Nice shots indeed. I'm assuming Edmond is the guy in the picture... you stationed at Ft. Wolters? Just curious.

| | | Really? I think you might be right but it is still government property and I think the Marines still use it for training. I could be wrong but I do know for a fact that you have to have permission from them to get onto the land... if you wanted to do it legally of course.

a big part of Ft Wolters is private now since it closed officially in 1973 seems like ancient history to some I spose a lesser part is a private correctional facility and a truck driving school, and police pistol range and junior college crap etc part of it is still active military used for National Guard training, the Texas State Guard trains there too http://www.uer.ca/...ow.asp?locid=23180 I spent a lot of time hiking the base and puttin this one up but nobody really looks in the DB any more
theres literally dozens of places to walk right in the active area, its not secured at all Hell the NG leaves the main gate open about half the time!
joy ride anyone?

| | | Regarding the drinks: That's super-creepy. Hobos are my biggest fear in UE. Snakes are probably second. Maybe it was a snake that took your drink... I like the pictures. I usually tend toward the artistic side of urban exploration, as opposed to UE as an action activity. I like to document the beauty of a decaying structure. Some of the spaces are unspeakably beautiful, while others (it seems the 'remodeled' ones) are hideous! Especially some of those colors! What were they thinking?! I wish there were places like that near me to explore, but no dice!

I love the artistic side as well, but don't have the proper camera yet to capture it. I make do with what I have for now, though. I always plan on capturing more artistic things when I go on these trips, but when I get there, since I'm still pretty new at this, I tend to get nervous and just start snapping pictures here and there. I loose focus because I get scared. (No one heard me admit that...)
