Thinking of getting a fisheye lens probably 8mm, something cheap like a Bower or a Samyang. It'll be for a crop sensor, I do have a wide angle 10-20mm so it might not even be needed.
Looking for any advice or tips, have other found a fisheye to be useful or just not needed?

I don't know about useful as that kind of depends on the purpose of your pictures but the altered perspective can be fun. I get more mileage out of a wide angle lens but the fisheye perspective leads to some interesting artistic choices.

they are good for 360 panos
Kabbalah is an undramatic tradition that requires great patience and stability. One of the reasons for this tempo is that everyone has to mature his potential gradually and thoroughly at his natural pace. In this way his life's work unfolds at the right moment in his own and the cosmos's time. Z.B.S. Halevi -- Kabbalah
