Guyitt House at night < on 11/21/2020 2:41 AM > | Reply with Quote
Everyone knows the Guyitt House, often referred to as the most photographed abandoned house in all of Canada.
I recently got a fancy new light to play with and the first thing I thought to do was to head to the Guyitt house and light it up. I have also really been wanting to do drone lighting here too as it's the perfect location for it!
Anyway, enough of my bullshit - here's the pics!
Oh, the two little white lights in front of the house are solar lights that are always there, I probably should have moved them first!
For the drone lighting, I have only done this a few times and still have a lot to learn. Normally I would have swapped out the sky or removed the drone with clone stamping but I actually really like the way the drone looks here. I left the drone in a stationary position and then just rotated it
For this one I placed the drone just out of frame and zipped it back and forth, this came out exactly as I wanted it to!
Speaking of my bullshit, I made a video with (what I think are) some pretty cool drone perspectives, so if you can deal with my annoying YouTube persona, here's that!

I love the drone lighting! The last shot almost looks like a UFO seachlight or something coming down from the sky. Definitely something I wouldn't have thought of using a drone for haha.

The colours are interesting but that 3rd pic is the money-shot! Please keep making more use of drone shots that are only just above the site and not sky-high. They're glorious!
Also, piss on you for the EXTREME, session-ruining inconvenience of having to CNTRL(-) my keyboard to fit these incredible pics on my screen. Just kidding, of course!... I've always wanted to post pics absolute full-size, but always wonder if viewers will just skip over them if they're too huge. And then I'll hold myself and sob in a corner wondering if anyone even enjoyed them, haha.
