Some neat places I know of. < on 3/23/2020 11:31 AM > | Reply with Quote
No more fumbling around with crappy photo resizes and compressors that make some of my better images look like crap. I am using Flickr now.
Here is concrete plant in Lansing near Douglas Ave. Or at least it's silos. I climbed them one night out of boredom and they have quite the nice view.
Here is the view from atop an abandoned news station tower.
Here is another tower... This one is one of my personal favorites. It is an active cellular tower with a really cool neon flasher on top. Nice views from this one.
Here is an abandoned collapsed church... It no longer exists. The pianos and whatnot were still in it.
Here is one of my favorite places. Sometimes I just come here to play music and chill in the summer times. Very peaceful spot. Basically non existent risk of cops.
Here is amother neato spot somewhere in between kzoo and south haven. Found it while at work.
And here is a few shots of a local junkyard. Love that car. I've got no clue what model it is.
I got many more images. I'm tired of hammering the copy and paste buttons on my phone though so this is it for now. Hope y'all enjoy the pictures!

If your uncle Jack were stuck on a roof. And he asked for your help. Would you help your uncle Jack off?

The invalid image icon shows up. Usually means your link is broken or you did something wrong with the code.
I fixed it! (I hope) auto correct was being a POS as always and changed "img" to "eimg"....
I hate autocorrect so much.. Worthless creation in my books!!!
EDIT: it changed it to eimg again... Okay definitely not autocorrect.
Yeah I will probably start using Flickr now.
This is frustrating.
EDIT 2: after fighting with Gmail a bit I got a Flickr account going. Now I'm uploading the images I intended on showing plus some more. Gonna add a couple or few more locations to the post.

when you go to the image you want to link here on flickr, hit the share button and there should be a BBCode option. Copy that link directly in to your post edit. No need to add additional img tags.

I'm gonna have to hop on a computer later to fix this.... My phone simply is horrible on this site and on Flickr and it's extremely frustrating.. The mobile version of Flickr lacks the bb code sharing option and on top of that when I load Flickr in the browser with the "desktop site" box checked the damn phone won't even allow me to copy the codes so I can paste them onto the site! It just shows the menu for a split second then it dissappears before I can click it.... I have been sitting over here wanting to throw my phone for the past half hour.

I've been there man. Unfortunately UER is pretty hard to do photo posts from phone. I did my entire bank post with my phone and it took like 2 days of editing a text document to finally post. And that was just for the image links.
best bet is to just wait til you have access to a computer to do multiple image posts. Unfortunately you only have 24 hours to edit this post so hurry!

I don't think that works Steed. Reply removes the img tags
Looks like you're right. The OP seems to be using the right tags, but the wrong URLs, so it still might be helpful. He'll have to find out how to get that URL through Flickr though, and it'll be time-consuming for all the pictures.

I’ve considered using Flickr. What makes it easier?
Hosting the images off-site means you don't have to use our proprietary image uploader and Flickr gives you a few other extra benefits, like being able to choose the image size.

I've always used Flickr for my actual photos and google to back up my phone's photos. Never had any luck putting my google photos in here so I've always had to save them to my computer and upload them separately.

Huzzah! Finally worked the links out I see. Nice towers. That's one thing i have yet to do. Always been too scared of RF radiation. Need to get around to doing my research on it.

As long as you don't go dangling your nuts in front of one of those rectangular antennas you'll be alright. They are directional antennas that emit non-ionizing radiation. They all face away from the tower.
The drum shaped antennas are microwave emitters. They're firing beams of radiation to whatever tower they're facing towards. As long as you are not in front you should be alright.
Stay away from am and fm towers unless they're abandoned. I've climbed a few abandoned am and TV antennas. They're quite tall and there is no ladders so if you do find one be prepared to have your feet at weird angles as you climb.

These images remind me of my early adventures, climbing concrete silo towers and wandering through old houses. Welcome to UER!
