| | | Thank you all for the replies, I recently went back and as I was inside (my entrance was on the opposite side of the building) I soon heard the loud roar of a generator, which was making me fairly apprehensive, but also curious. I also saw a faint light, which was odd because if you turned your flashlights off in previous visits it would be pitch black.I turned off my flashlight and walked slowly towards the main entrance and looked around the corner. Revealed to me was some sorta of crew. I've seen this fairly often. They tape up plastic linings, like an entire door just make out of plastic flaps, and are doing some sorta of removal? Anyone know if this is just like asbestos removal or something else? Anyways, the workers didn't come past the plastic walls, which were not completely see through so I was able to sneak by and finish my last explore of the place before I supposed they tear it down, or so it seems that it is heading that direction. Sad to see this building untouched, something that could be a historical landmark rather than be torn down. But still it is amazing to go inside and see this place only worn by nature over the past 40 or so years it has been abandoned. You can still find things that have been sitting in their place for 3 times the years I have even been alive, and that is truly amazing for me. This is why I love urban exploring and to me this spot really shows the realistic cycle of a derelict. Seeing black and white pictures of this place in its prime during the 1900's till now and all that brought it to this point and current condition/ state it is in was water damage. Rather mind-blowing to me. Especially to see things in there that could be in a museum. Just one example, and you have seen many in my pictures above, an oil can (full) sitting in the elevator room which may have been used and thrown away 40 years ago but instead just before they could use it the building was shut down, which led to it sitting there for this many more years, until now I came across it. I don't know how other explorers mindsets work/ think about these things. But this is how I think about the things I find. I'm not too old, but it's like everything I could see in movies from when my parents were my age, but seeing with my own eyes. It's very raw. Anyways, thanks for all your comments once again. This spot is amazing but I assume you must go soon. Sorry this was so long, I didn't intend it to be.
