*This location is on a major highway, 100% visible and has nothing of value left inside. Also listed as Public in the DB I see no issue with naming it publicly.

The Outsiders roadhouse opened in 1988 owned by a woman named Edith Endemann and her husband Harry Endemann. They had bought the property (formely known as the Tama Inn) for $750,000 and put about $400,000 into improvements into it. Maximum capacity was approx. 150 people. The roadhouse offered a Wednesday night "open-stage jam session" which were quite popular with the local amateur talent. After multiple obstacles were placed in their way (widening of highway 7 & 8, Sunday brunch becoming more competitive, etc) Edith ended up ultimately being forced to close the restaurant in 2000 due mainly to the new no-smoking bylaw Waterloo Region placed on Jan 1st of that year which contributed to business declining by about 66% and the loss of income valued at about $700,000. After 12 years of business, the last day the building saw any customers was October 28th, 2000. Edith also lost her home, because she was living at the restaurant at the time of its closure.
