I learned from the best. I've professionally blasted and painted water tanks,bridges, and in a shipyard. Your knees and back have finite limits. Ballistic movements increase the risk of severe injury both acute and chronic. I've seen the injuries caused by falls on steel including one fatality and a lot of casts... you don't play on steel.
I still free climb decades later.
Maintain 3 pts of contact when climbing on steel at all times.
