| | | It depends on the pallet, of course. If it's shitty pine, no one gives a fuck. If it's made out of some kind of classy hardwood, then the accountants get involved. I used to work for a warehouse/shipping company. Most pallets didn't matter. The warehouse guys would try and get rid of the bad ones quicker but, whatever, that's what EVERY place does. The nice, hard wood, branded pallets, though... that was a different story. If you requested one, then we expected an equal amount of empties in return. If you weren't returning empties, we'd bill you at the end of the month. Most pallets are shitty pine garbage, but the good ones get inventoried.
