how else do you own something, if not privately? Also, this post would be like me saying "well I could rent a moving van and park on top of it and torch cut a hole in the floor to get into it, but I never would do this". Except for two specific times, I've almost always closed them behind me. If you're strong enough to pull it up from above, you can push it up from below.
|
Or you just could have someone wait outside and open it at a certain time. I never tired it, but a radio should be able to be used from right below to the guy waiting a couple of feet away, even with the street in between. Just don't think it works long distance, but someone just should try it.

| | | You guys are putting way more thought into this than I think is actually necessary, lol.
Give a person a match and they'll be warm for a minute, but light them on fire and they'll be warm for the rest of their life. =) |

| | | Skip the storm drains as at this time of year they're full of CHUDS anyway. And if you're going to use a walkie-talkie from underground, stick the antenna up through the manhole.

There's more than storm drains and sewers down there ;) Imagine walking down the street and seeing an antenna pop up from a manhole, that is pretty funny.
...still I venture some place scary. |

If you park your car ON TOP of it...how do you.... you know, get inside. Or how do you get your car on top of it once you're already inside? That seems difficult, unless you have one of those vans with the floor that pulls up and you can slip down around the drivetrain...

Doesn't everyone have one of these?
Just kidding, actually this:
Posted by queenrocks77 I've never used a manhole for a POE. Only big gaping openings That you can walk through.
|
It is much easier in every way to use the outflow.

| | | Manholes for drains are meh to me. In the TC we got manholes for utility tunnels, awesome stuff. Though there are a few drains that access abandonments form underneath, I guess.
Doesn't everyone have one of these?

Dayum! Now I know what to put on my X-Mas wishlist. Didn't they have one of those in National Treasure or The Italian Job or something?
