| | | Posted by Adv.Pack #1 seems a little straight forward and too much grass. #2 has some strange light. I wish the whole image was as lit up as the foreground.
|
thanks for the comments. i agree with your comment about 1 completely. after looking at it again there is, like you said, too much grass. and i dont know what is going on with the lighting in 2, it's natural lighting, maybe the sun was just hitting it at a weird angle. thanks again for taking the time to offer your suggestions.

| | | Be careful posting HDR here. Hahaha. They like to slaughter those of us who do HDR. ;) As far as your HDR goes, you have a bit of haloing in all of them. Especially #3. Either your exposures are off or your tone mapping is a little too heavy. You should not have any haloing in an HDR image. What were your brackets? All of your whites and blacks are blown, so you may be off there. I also notice that in #4, the whites and blacks are definitely off and the clouds don't match up. The images you use for this should be one right after the other? Unless the clouds were moving at break-neck speed?

i appreciate the detailed critique. i usually dont do hdr, but i figured i would do something different for once... the 3 exposures of #4 were taken at the same exact time... within 1/100th of a second... so i dont know why it looks like the clouds are moving...

What program do you use for your HDR? Some programs have an automatic 'delete ghosts' thing to check and it'll do away with them...sometimes. Or, you can manually do them, as well.

I've been using photomatix pro 4.2.5... I'll have to look and see if that is an option...

It does. I use Photomatix as well. The popup window that comes up when you first drag and drop your exposures. Look at that. ;)
