| | | Not a big fan of the tone (maybe B&W would be better?), but the biggest gripe I have is that you keep cutting off everyone's feet. Also, the dude's sunglasses seem anachronistic.

This was shot in & around Lyme Hall where the 1995 TV verison of Pride & Prejudice was filmed. It's possible to visit & borrow period costumes, but I didn't know this before I arrived with my girlfriend. I ended up cropping of most of the feet because I was wearing modern shoes. If I had known I would have worn some more tradional shoes & glassies. My reactor lenses were catching the sun in some shots.

| | | The color cast is bizarre. they're pretty much just like snapshots. Subject is... Always centered. And. There's no consideration for the background/ surroundings.

+1
Also, the vantage points are boring. If you lowered the camera you could have incorporated more of the architecture/buildings instead of half or more of the background being just the ground.

| | | The orange definitely throws me off, too. As mentioned, a good rule of thumb: NEVER crop at a joint. There are other ways around hiding 'costume mishaps' and such. Posing, props, etc. As also mentioned, if not black and white, then a less saturated orange (if that's what you preference is) then a super muted sepia would work easier, too.

| | | The last shot looks as though someone else (non photographer) took it with flash. I'd say, spare the flash-y look by using a tripod and a longer exposure. Also, some have very low resolution...not sure if you cropped them or not, but it is worth holding res rather than making the shot fuzzy. And finally...lose the harsh sepia, you should totally consider shooting sepia, but it was very very orange. My favorites are 3, 5 and 6.

| | | I am super crazy bored, and I totally dig the idea of your pictures...so, (I hope you don't mind!) I played. ...super quick sepia/aging of simple right-click and saves of your photos. ...cropped (to my liking), and straightened, and muted, and a few other things...either way, here you go. They're also super blurry, your's and mine (as I took your's)...they all seem out of focus, which helps with the aged look I 'think' you were going for. But, you may want to ensure the subject is in focus...either manually or automatically via your camera's focus abilities. 1.

| | | Thanks everyone for your comments. I took these hand-held with a standard digital camera which might explain some things. The sepia tint was done on my laptop, I made sure I kept the colour originals.
