| | | Good shots. Your #8 turned out better than mine (you got a different angle). It was a fun trip. I hope that the next time we go we don't hear digs that sound like people in pain saying 'help me'. I like how you have the glasses and keys set in 15. | | | Well thank you I appreciate the kind words everyone. Honestly though I was a little disappointed in how this set came out. Maybe I am spending too much time in the photography section here and looking at everything with a critical eye but I still need work at mastering how to balance all the settings with the particular light conditions that I am shooting in to get the effect that that I want. I found some good information here : http://www.uer.ca/...=1&threadid=101159
Hey Dobbs! I will be back to your neighborhood before too long. I'll PM you some possible dates and coordinate from there.

Post by automatic Like the hat pic a lot and the big gears on the floor. |
Thanks everyone, Automatic the hat pic was one of my favorites too. It was just neat to come across that thing covered in dust sitting on a work bench in the maintenance basement of a very old section of the mill. Just proof that nomeus was here before everyone.
Those gears were part of the equipment that rang the bells in the old part of the mill. Last time we explored here they weren't laying on the floor, than again there wasn't construction equipment and bulldozers parked on the property either. We were in too much of a hurry to check and see if the bells were still in place but if this building is going to be leveled and no one thinks to save these bells I'm gonna be pissed, just sayin.
Explicitly, we only explored about 1/3 of the new section before hearing some crying sounds coming from across the creek near the POE on the old building. We both listened to this for a good long time and for all the world it sounded like a hurt child. Seems like the mind plays tricks like "help me" with those kind of sounds. When we got to the other side we found some very upset feral dogs and a large group of puppies which quickly ran out of sight into the buildings. We saw them here and there throughout the rest of the day but they would never get close. Eventually we started finding dead puppies. They were only a few weeks old but heat, dehydration, starvation seemed to be the main thing killing them. I guess we were right, they might of been saying help me.

| | | Eek, that sounds terrible. Also they better not be tearing down those buildings. I'd be highly pissed. There are many more shots to be had there.
