| | | I biked down there last week, maybe I was looking in the wrong spot but all I found was foundations and a bunch of covered up placards used during the tour a few weeks prior. The large tube type things seen in the earlier pic (nice pics, by the way) is (I'm pretty sure...) part of some sort of operation that has to do with logging, can't remember the name of the company but they're set up RIGHT next to the old Bamberton house/school/community hall foundations. The whole area has some decent security measures, but none seem to be in use at all (like, large sliding metal barriers and cams, but it would only stop motor vehicles, not bikes etc) I'm confused though, as to whether or not the area I was in was just the Bamberton town foundations or the cement factory foundations, but if it was the cement factory there is literally nothing left. Shit, I never even got to see it in all its glory

| I went there with my 2 year old last weekend, an invite from the curator of the museum and author of Bamberton: From Dust to Bust and Back http://books.googl...EACAAJ&redir_esc=y . She gave us a private tour of the whole area, including into the actively used parts. Got some amazing pics of the quarry too. They're importing cement from ships from the mainland and transporting it through Bamberton and out. Pics and story will be up on the Haunted BC facebook site some time after I finish my Bridge River Valley trip photo sets.
