| | | What the fucking shit is this? Is this really?
I now want my body dismembered and I want a different piece put in random places. It could be a Scavenger hunt "Find the pieces of Astro" Oh! And each one can be a clue to the other one but they are really hard clues. And then the last clue leads to the first body part, so that there is a continuous circle, no matter which piece you find first. People could like TAKE PHOTOS!! With every stone. The first person to get a photo with all of them will get a prize. Like...I don't know, Denture mold or something? This is such a fantastic idea I have come up with. I am so excited that I can't wait to die! The games will then begin!!!!

It was just the 2, scattered in with normal other graves. I can find reference to them, but no back story.

| | | i would love to hear the story on this... i can only guess that who ever killed these people, did not like them very much, but then there is a "grave" for the parts... very very odd. when i kill and dismember people, i usually put them thru the tree shredder and dump the remains in the gulf... but that just me.

Ever tried a long exposure shot as they go through the shredder? Surprisingly good shots.

| | | I figured maybe the arm and foot were somehow amputated and the family buried them? I didn't find graves for the "people" who would have been attached to the arm and foot. This family was a well do to family back then. They donated the land where the college sits, so maybe they had money to waste to bury various body parts? But in my opinion, grave stones are expensive and I can't see spending that much on a stone for my arm. I would personally rather have shoes!!
Edited to add: Found this on a genealogy site: Motley, Grove Cleveland Jun. 7, 1885 foot buried Jun. 5, 1911, his death Aug. 2, 1977 The Foot of C. I cannot stress how fucking awesome I think this is. They would never let us do that in today's world.
I now want to not only have a scavenger hunt, I also want individual funerals for each body part

| | | I know a little bit about this one....when I was in 3rd grade an author came and visited our school and read us a book he wrote based on his childhood memories called the Legend of Motley Mansion. There actually used to be a mansion there behind the cemetery: http://www.amazon....=1322879495&sr=8-1 Thats a link to the book. I have a signed copy of the book somewhere but I'd have to dig it up to make sure my facts are straight but I believe the story goes that he worked in a mill of some sort and had an accident at work where his arm got cut off....they buried it in the cemetery and later he began to have phantom arm pains where his limb used to be like a tingling stinging sensation so they dug the arm back up and found it was covered in ants so they cleaned it off and put it in a jar and he never had the phantom pains again. I know the story of the ants and phantom pains was true for sure but the foot was severed separately in another incident I believe but I can't really remember the story on that one I'll have to look it up and get back to ya on that one

| | | I know Motley family members still living in the area. Eastfield College is built on the old Motley homeplace the big mansion burned down theres probably some pics online its not really like its a secret the street that runs by it is called, Motley Dr, one of the sons still lives nearby and sells deer feeders and stuff. The house was abandoned when it burned down ( 70? 71? maybe) it was being used to store hay no less, then some kids (one still living in the neighborhood today) were playing around in there they never fingered whoever struck the match of course theres all kinda ghost stories and stuff about it. I appraised one of the family firearms, a nice old Colt .44 Frontier model belonged to one of the guys resting in that plot, it was in sad shape and had been poorly reblued and stuff ruining its value. Still it had a great story behind it. The real interesting story is to be found just to the west where a Caddo settlement was dug up now that deal is a real haunting, I dont believe in ghosts except for indian ghosts theyre the real deal.
