Unfortunately, no. There was a rodeo going on just a block away and there were cops EVERYWHERE so I decided to wait until a better opportunity arose.

That was a fun day! lol long story though...let's just say fair warning to anyone trying to plan a trip there anytime soon, the security is definitely tighter then it used to be so don't spend TOO long there if you do go...it could also have to do with when you go too I suppose but idk, I went back in march and it was fine, just didn't stay too long....that place is HUGE and takes forever to see though, I've been 3 or 4 times now and I still haven't seen the whole place. I don't know if we just went at a bad time, weren't careful enough, or if it's been attracting a lot of prison break fans to the point where they've had to crack down on it but we had to have our own little prison break so to speak lol. Luckily we had no issues though thanks to our mad stealth rogue skills lol. Also since we're on the topic here's an oil painting I did a couple years ago of the swift...I worked from an older picture I took there the first time I went when I went by myself:

Thanks everybody! I was really surprised by the quality as well, most of the pictures I've taken with this phone have been awful. I really want to go back and harvest a ton of those mustang grapes and some "pigweed". That place is a wild edible plant jackpot!
Also since we're on the topic here's an oil painting I did a couple years ago of the swift...I worked from an older picture I took there the first time I went when I went by myself: |
