Site of Interest in Northern California

Figured I would just give out a possible objective for anyone who would be interested in trying to explore these areas in Santa Rosa, California.

There are a few areas of interest in this city located about 60 miles North of San Francisco. Heading north on Highway 101 there is a abandoned Hotel the Los Robles Lodge. it has been closed since late 2006, and it is noticeable that parts of it just beg to be explored. The sign cannot be missed from North Bound or South Bound 101. Though the problem is the hotel is fenced off and not easily accessible. More so it would make for great exterior shots (

The few photos I found on the net are not mine.) none the less with all the boarded up windows and overgrowth. I guess I could say to make an attempt to explore the interior is an at your own risk decision.

As bonuses are enough next to the Abandoned Hotel are the Abandoned Executive Suites which are actually part of the Hotel, but not fenced off. Even a closed Good Year Tires location is in proximity.

Though the biggest problem to attempting to explore this property would be be fact is it is located near a shopping Mall that itself could be considered on the verge of being a dead mall, Complete with vacant Department Store. So watch out for Mall Security. Plus I have no Idea what so ever when it will be torn down.

I'm scared of such obstacles and avoid them as much as possib....Oh wait. You said fences & security. I thought it said feces and snakes. Never mind...pointless post. Carry on.

The question is not when are we gonna stop, It's who's gonna stop us?

On fences being a security issue, I don't really know why I posted that. I'm just newer at the whole urban explorer concept.

Looks like a cool location... Have a camera? Bring us back pics! A good way to break into the hobby (no pun intended).

Good luck! We'll be waiting!
