| | | Wooden houses, barns in the woods, and Woodman's Circle. Two weekends ago I decided to make the trek back to my hometown of Wolfe City and visit some family as well as take a few pics. I don't go up that way very often because... well it sucks. This would mark the first time I had gone home since I started my new found obsession with photography and urban exploration, and I truly came to realize where this obsession came from: this is what I grew up around. Falling down homes, old cars and barns in the middle of pastures, factories that haven't seen a time card punched in 30+ years. In general, it's just a slower paced lifestyle filled with people who don't care about having the best and greatest things money can buy, and to be honest, I miss it. As per usual, the post-processing is overdone, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I have never claimed to be a purist. If you hate it, that's fine. Feel free to comment/critique. 1. International Flour Mill, Greenville Tx. My dad worked here briefly in the 70's and said it's hands down the low point of his life... and he's had a lot of those. According to him, at night he would have to clean the grain elevators and the guy who helped him clean would smoke cigarettes the entire time. (Grain + Fire = BOOM for those not in the know)
2. Abandoned Farm House, between Greenville and Wolfe City. I've passed this place literally 10,000 times and never given it much attention. Figured it was time to photograph it. These types of houses are everywhere around Wolfe City.
3. Barn, Wolfe City.
4. Woodman's Circle Home, Sherman Tx. I used to work at a place that was about 1/2 mile away from here and I never knew this place even existed until last year. Due to the compression of photos on this site, the bricks turned out weird. For a better picture, check it out on my Flickr page.
5. Woodman's Bathroom
6. Woodman's Room
Thanks for looking.

| | | I love the pics of woodman circle! I lived by it for 10 years before I knew about it. That top floor is so sketchy. the last time I was there it was raining and I could feel some of the floor boards bowing under my feet as I walked across it.

| | | Those are some awesome pictures! My husband and I tried to explore Woodman's a couple of weeks ago, but there was a work van parked between the front and back buildings and a cop in the parking lot that we parked in. I think I took one picture before we felt we shouldn't stay... plus it started raining. Blah.
You captured it in a most awesome way.Love the grain elevators too! Thanks for sharing.

Have you checked out that incredibly awesome house on Park Street by the stop sign? It's up for sale again because the people who bought it and planned to renovate it said that 'it was haunted.' This would probably be a good time to have a looksee for a way inside. I used to drive past that place on the way to school every day and always wanted to own it.

They have been saying that that place is hunted before I was born. Haven'T been inside but My folks made my Sister and I go to a manners school on the same block. So we would sneak over as often as we could. wouldn't mind having a house like it. Ill go check it out sometime this week.
