| | | I'm not a very profilic explorer, and I don't post very often, so hi, my name is Bryan, and I like sewers. In order to improve my work, I was curious as to what non-drainers thought about my stuff. I'll start posting sets from the past year every few weeks. I've been doing drain photography for about a year, and have had the privilege of working with some of the best underground photographers on this continent, so my style has started to define itself. I'm not where I want to be yet, so I thought I'd share my stuff and see how you fine people feel I could improve it. For my first set, I'm posting Garrison Creek Sewer. This buried creek has made my draining career incredibly interesting, as it's not only fascinated me for half a dozen trips, but also almost claimed my life (story another time). The photos were taken over a period of about 4 months, in which the lighting was anything from incredibly simple, to technical and complex. So yeah, rip 'em.

| | | All of them are beautiful, but my favorite ones are two and three. My only critique for you is that you don't post your pics nearly as often as you should. [last edit 1/29/2010 2:15 AM by mello - edited 1 times]
when you are here, you wish you were there. but once you're there, it soon becomes a here, and you again wish to be there instead of here... we will never be completely satisfied. |

| | | These are really nice, and I don't look at a ton of drain photos, but you do seem to have a cool distinctive style to your stuff. Only criticism I have is that the bright parts of 6 are kinda harsh and localized, and except for the lower right part, the darker parts of the photo around the perimeter seem flat, at least compared to your other shots. Maybe it's just that the bricks are dry...

| | | I like your stuff, Maybe some different poses are in order? They seem the same as everyone elses, but I don't know. I've only drained once. My only criticism is that you didn't tell the rest of your almost death story! Sounds exciting.

Yeah Bryan, I agree that it's high time you started doing handstands in these photos. Quit aping our established 'standing-in-the-photo-with-a-light' stylez, we've got that shit patented.

| | | This set is really nice Bryan. My only critique and a small one- in six, the middle light is a bit too overpowering and blows out some of the detail. that being said these are all pretty awesome.
And when you finally disappear, We'll just say you were never here. |

Ouch, that hurts...least I'm tryin to keep things fresh :p great shots as always Bryan...you're far too modest about your photography, and I too wish you'd post more of your work. I check your blog "on the reg", but it just leaves me wanting more. Three is definitely my favorite of the bunch...fucking love that shot. keep 'em coming
