| | Bank building in Lubbock Texas < on 12/15/2009 9:59 PM >
| | | There is an abandoned bank building in downtown Lubbock that I would love to see inside. Don't know its name but it is covered in ugly turquoise colored panels. What is great about it is there is a tunnel that connects the bank with the parking garage. There is a cafeteria, meeting rooms and etc in this tunnel. I would love to see it before they tear it down (Lubbock is on a tear down kick right now) and see that tunnel.

| | | I think you are talking about the Omni Center Building. It has white column looking things running down the outside with 4 story parking garage next to it. The parking garage is fenced off after the first floor. If it is, they are NOT planning on tearing it down. It is one of the buildings they plan to renovate. Just in the past couple months or so they turned the power back on. I had explored the place once while it was abandoned, and the "show" vault was REALLY cool. I'll see if I can find the pictures. Also, it’s the 3rd tallest building in downtown Lubbock (I think) so it has a wonderful view from the roof. Just watch out for the big antenna things. I'll be out of Lubbock till Jan. 6th, but if you’re interested in checking it out after that please message me.

| | | No, this closed bank building has the 2 story parking garage across the street and an entrance to the tunnel is across the street form both of those. It is close to where the old Greyhound bus station was. The building is covered in a blue/turquoise colored siding. The tunnel entrance is a little building (Locked of course) and you can see the stairs going down through the window. I will post a picture as soon as I go to Lubbock. I think the electricity is still on.
