| | | I hardly ever see anything new posted in Mid-Atlantic..what gives? SOOO inactive and there is an absolute wealth of places to explore in this area. Its crazy. Where is UE most active in general anyway? Is this more of a West Coast hobby?
I'm asking both a specific and general question for ya'll More curious than anything else

| | | If you live in the mid-Atlantic, the best place to go to find tons of very active explorers is the northeast. The mid-Atlantic does have a lot of really cool people and cool locations but still nowhere near the number of active UER members that the northeast has. Keep in mind that there are some threads in the Mid-Atlantic that you can't see since you aren't a full member. Currently the first page of Mid-Atlantic has 4 full member only threads. Really, the activity on UER regional forums that comes from a certain area doesn't necessarily ever correlate that well with the actual number of locations in that area.

| | | From what I've seen personally, the Mid-Atlantic cities with by far the most active exploring communities are Raleigh, NC and Columbia, SC. And maybe Johnson City, TN but I don't know if I can judge that one objectively since it's my beloved hometown. And what JC said is very true.

| | | NC has good stuff, we don't have the manpower to scout it all. Relevant: My flickr page. Mascarah, Aurelie, myself, Avius, shutter, narcolepsomnia, are probably the most active central NC posters. I don't know the coastal ones, or the mountain ones. And lots and lots of stuff I do, I don't post about here. I guess I could light up the MidEast board with stuff, but I don't like posting about stuff I've done. I'll talk in person, but typing out a story is different.

| | | This makes me emotional for the time the Mid-Atlantic board was ruled by girls. But yeah, we just don't post a lot. I think it has something to do with the fact that we're all pretty friendly down here, so there's not as much 'post or gtfo' sentiment going on. Like, apart from the Maine chick, I've met everyone who's posted in this thread so I think it's possibly that we kinda just talk to each other...in real life?*
*not me of course, I don't have any friends.

| | | Lots of mid-atlantic explorers post over on UA. Its much smaller and less active than UER, but it is also much tighter and with 90% less drama... http://www.urbanatrophy.com/forum/

This is very true. I've talked to a lot of people on here via private messages who are in the southeast, but they rarely post.
